Yakup 2 is one of many meyhanes in this area, down the quaint street Asmalimescit, and has an above-average selection of mezes, great meat dishes, and fish in season. It is lively and very popular with locals, and bound to turn into a drinking-smoking-eating sort of place in the evening. A few tables outside make it ideal for a summer evening.

Yakup 2 is on Asmalimescid Street near Tünel and has serving there for 27 years. It is famous for special hot mezes. Arnavut cigeri (fried liver), mushrooms with butter and kagitta pastirma (dried meet flavored with cumin and garlic and cooked and served in a special paper) are the indispensable tastes. The lunch is served between 12:00-14:30 and dinner is between 18:30-01:00
